F+U Academy of Languages, centerpiece of the F+U group of companies (see wwww.fuu.de for more information), is one of the largest language schools and test centers for foreign languages in Germany. In addition to the center in Heidelberg, Academy of Languages also operates schools in Berlin and Darmstadt.

The language school is popular in terms of quality and quantity: 13,000 students from over 100 countries participate in our language courses and examinations each year, attracted by the high quality of language teaching and F+U's renowned reputation as one of Europe's leading education providers. F+U Academy of Languages offers German courses all-year round, including specialist areas like exam preparation, medical and technical language training, professional development seminars for German teachers, etc. It also offers English Intensive and evening courses all year round, summer programmes, junior courses (for children aged 6-15) and offers training in more than 25 languages, like French, Chinese, Japanese, Spanish, Russian, Arabic and many more.

As an international test centre, F+U Academy of Languages offers a large variety of international assessments: TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language), TOEIC (Test of English for International Communication), LCCI (London Chamber of Commerce and Industry), TestDaF (Test für Deutsch als Fremdsprache), TestAS (Certification to demonstrate international applicants’ suitability for study), TELC (The European Language Certificate), onDaF (Online Einstufungstest DaF) and WiDaF (Test DaF in der Wirtschaft).

At our Vocational College for Foreign Languages, students can train for the following state-recognized qualifications: Foreign Language Correspondence Clerk (Fremdsprachenkorrespondent/in), Multilingual Correspondence Clerk (Welthandelskorrespondent/in), European Secretary (Europasekretär/in) and Translator (Übersetzer/in). The following languages are state-recognised: Chinese, English, French, Japanese, Russian and Spanish.

Since the F+U Academy of Languages and the Vocational College for Foreign Languages are situated in the same building, the students often mingle and form language tandems (Sprach-Tandems), improving their language abilities, gaining inside knowledge about the partner’s country and creating friendships.
