Baumholder Army Health Clinic

The unit now known as Baumholder Army Health Clinic was activated in December 1942 as the 30th Field Hospital which was deactivated after WWI. Reactivated during the Korean War 1950-51 and from 1952-58 served from Ft. Bragg, NC and the Fitzsimons Army Hospital, Colorado. In August 1965, the unit moved to Germany providing service to Augsburg and Worms communities before moving to Baumholder in September 1981. On 16 February 1994, it was re-flagged as the 29th Medical Detachment. On 15 November 1994, the organization was designated as the United States Army Health Clinic Baumholder and on 12 June 2014 assumed mission command over Kaiserslautern Army Health Clinic.
