... the soccer world championship 2006, known as the first High Definition TV broadcast, wasn't really the first? The very first test in full HDTV format ever, was made in 1998 - by the German Dierks Studios, broadcasting the soccer world championship from the "Velodrome" Stadium in Marseille, France.
