Konik`s practice combines video, semi-documentary, installation, performance, and sculpture. It’s difficult to exactly put into words the area that she operates in, as her materials are often invisible, transparent and only perceptible as emotions, indefinable intuitions, even dreams. Her protagonists are people who live at the edges of reality. She directs our attention towards these aspects and ways of being, states of loneliness, confusion or over-sensitivity. Formally, space plays an important role in Konik’s works: “Her video
images are created, gathered and worked out in order to become parts of multi-dimensional structures working across time and space. Her art is always a process, where every viewer's engagement also becomes an event embedded in a hybrid environment, from which the installation emerges.
