The gallery Ambacher Contemporary, founded in 2004 by Horst Ambacher in Munich, primarily promotes contemporary and international mid-career artists with practices that often combine approaches to painting and sculpture, who´s positions refer to concrete-art, surrealism, naive art, figurative-informal as well as american realism. These eclectic streams join together on ethic or sociopolitical levels, in their subtle and conceptual approaches and in the symbolic power of their pictorial representations.
